With examples from knitting, everyday life, and surprising insights into the history of creative thinking, he invites you to try new approaches, change patterns, and discover your own creativity more consciously.
13:30 - 15:30 Leonie Kramer - Meet & Greet & Read
No Munich Knits without Leonie Kramer = stitches, murder and murderously good entertainment
When knitting meets crime, Leonie Kramer is never far away. The author of the popular series about the Madlfinger Crime and Knitting Club delights with a unique blend of yarn, humor, and suspense. On the Inspo stage, she'll read from all her knitting mysteries and offer insights into the creation of her stories, in which lace shawls, indigo vats, and embroidery needles occasionally play a surprisingly deadly role. Look forward to exciting entertainment, Bavarian charm, and perhaps even a sneak peek at the latest MKHC case. Bring your books for signing or purchase your first knitting mystery directly from the author.
Mamazone Lounge & the hugging cloth
At the Munich Knits Yarn & Craft Festival 2026, you can be part of a special hands-on project. Together with the patient initiative mamazone – Women and Research Against Breast Cancer e.V., you will create so-called hug cloths from many small knitted triangles, which will be given to women with breast cancer.
Designed by knitwear designer Melanie Berg, this hugging scarf symbolizes warmth, hope, and togetherness. Each knitted triangle is a visible sign of solidarity, showing the recipients: You are not alone.
Thanks to a generous yarn donation from Lana Grossa, you can participate directly at the festival. Knit a pink triangle on-site following the provided instructions and become part of a shawl that offers comfort and hope.
With every knitted triangle, not only does a shawl grow, but also a strong community. Take a few minutes of your festival time and help create a very special embrace from wool, stitches, and compassion.
